Rev. Karen D. Bell, Ex-Officio Board Chair
Rev. Karen D. Bell is an ex-officio board chairperson and founding charter member, Catch of the Day Worldwide Evangelistic Ministries, Inc., where she assisted establishing the direction of the ministry in its start-up years. She assisted envisioning and writing the framework – constitution and by-laws, which set the direction of the ministry. Karen served as Board chair for nearly ten years and her performance was stellar. 

She was born and educated in Washington, DC, where she graduated from Coolidge Senior High School and DC Teachers College. Karen is a Special Education Teacher in the DC Public School System and a member of Phi Delta Kappa – Beta Chapter, a Sorority of Educators.

Karen received Christ in 1976, was filled with the Holy Spirit and united with Revival Temple Church (RTC), under the pastorate of Bishop Milton L. Carter.  In September 2008, she accepted her call to ministry and was licensed August of 2010. 

She works faithfully serving the Sunday School Department and Bible, Dance/ Sports Camp at Greater Mount Calvary Church and is a Bible Study Facilitator, Precious Jewels Teacher, Assistant Director of Evangelism & Prison Ministry and Volunteer Manager.

Karen was appointed Superintendent of Sunday School and director of Vacation Bible School while serving Revival Temple Church (RTC), where she was responsible for training the teaching staff. She studied at RTC Bible Institute, Greater Mount Calvary Bible Institute and is currently a student at Maple Springs Bible College and Seminary.  

Karen loves the Lord and the church. She is an asset to every community in which she serves. She also has a deep concern and passion for the unsaved. She can always be found presenting the “Good News” that Jesus saves. She finds great joy in operating in her gifts, encouraging others and sharing.  Her favorite scripture is Psalm 118:24, “This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it!” Karen is married to Rev. Charles E. Bell, Jr., and is a proud mother and grandmother.

Charles E. Bell, Jr. is an ex-officio founding board member, Catch of the Day Worldwide Evangelistic Ministries, Inc., where he assisted establishing the direction of the ministry in its start-up years. Hhe assisted envisioning and writing the framework – constitution and by-laws, which set the direction of the ministry. Charles served as a board member  for nearly ten years and his performance was exceptional.

He was born and educated in Washington, DC, where he graduated from Dunbar Senior High School and attended Howard University.  He is a retired Metropolitan Police Department officer. He has served as Director of the Rebuilding Our Youth Program at the Correctional Center in Jessup, MD and as Tutor and Mentor to young men through the DC Court System.

Charles received Christ in 1989 and was filled with the Holy Spirit and united with Revival Temple Full Gospel Church, under the leadership of Bishop Milton L. Carter, Pastor.  In 2008 he accepted his call to ministry and was licensed in August 2010.  He attended Revival Temple Bible Institute and Greater Mount Calvary Bible Institute. He is currently a student at Maple Springs Bible College and Seminary.

He served as Chairman of the Trustee Board and on the Official Board of Revival Temple Church for over twelve years. He served faithfully as an Adult Sunday School Teacher, Bible Study Facilitator and Director of Evangelism.

Rev. Bell is an asset to the Body of Christ. He loves the Lord and has a deep passion for the hurting and unsaved. Charles can always be found sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Charles is married to Rev. Karen D. Bell and is a proud father and grandfather.  He finds great joy in operating in his gifts.  His favorite song is “Somebody Prayed for Me”.  He knows that “The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.”

 

Sharon Wester, Ex-Officio Executive Assistant to the CEO
Sharon Wester is a charter member and former Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer of Catch of the Day Worldwide Evangelistic Ministries, Inc. She is a member of Ebenezer AME Church, Fort Washington, MD, where the Rev. Dr. Grainger Browning, Jr. is the Senior pastor and Rev. Dr. Joanne Browning is Co-Pastor.

She was born and raised in Washington, DC and is a graduate of Western Senior High School, now known as Duke Ellington School of the Arts. Sharon was an invaluable asset to the founding Board and the CEO. She served professionally and faithfully in performing the following assignments, duties and tasks:

Supported and assist the CEO with all major projects; Received and route all incoming correspondence via internet and telephone calls; Read, analyze, sort incoming mail to determine its significance and distribute it to appropriate staff; Prepared, compose and respond to all inquiries by email, written communication or telephone call; Prepared direct mailings for chartered chapters, members, and students. Prepared marketing, advertising and promotional material; Keyboard, edit, and distributed agendas and minutes for meetings; Took notes at meetings; Established, maintained, and updated digital files, databases, records and documents; Created power point presentations for meetings, conferences and conventions; Prepared travel arrangements and processed expense reports.
